I would like to explain my background in network marketing and help you understand the dynamics and magnitude of the opportunity that we have before us in participating in Synergy Worldwide.

I was first exposed to the industry of network marketing in 1982 when I sold a weight loss business that I owned to Watkins Inc. Watkins is one of the oldest direct selling/network marketing companies in the industry. For the next 2 years I observed the "inner workings" of network marketing. While intrigued, I did not take action and become a distributor.

Following my Watkins experience I went on to the financial services world, where I was a successful stockbroker at Merrill Lynch and Drexel Burnham Lambert. In February of 1990, my eyes were opened to network marketing in a big way when I met with an industry leader who was affiliated with Nu Skin International.' That leader's name was Craig Tillotson. Craig provided information to me which proved to be actionable. I joined him that day. 

I remember very clearly that Craig showed me his month earnings report, his MONTHLY, not annual earnings were $173,000.00. Not only was Craig earning much more money than I had ever earned, but I became entranced with the quality of that income. I learned that unlike my income experience, Craig had created an income generating machine which had taken on a life of it's own. Craig taught me three principles of leverage. I realized that I wanted to put them to work for me.

First, Craig showed me that he was earning income on not only his efforts, but that he was earning income on the part time efforts of thousands and the full time efforts of hundreds. It became immediately clear to me that I could never accomplish as one man what this army of people could accomplish. The second form of leverage that I learned about was the leverage of consumption. Craig was earning income not only on the efforts of many, but on the consumption of tens of thousands of households. The third form of leverage that Craig taught me about is the leverage of time zones. I had always earned income up until then only during the typical business day. Craig pointed out that since I had a mortgage and car payments, the interest meter never stopped. I spent money every moment of every day, yet I only earned money between the hours when the New York Stock exchange opened and when it closed. I realized that I would never get where I hoped to go financially until I broke that equation. Craig showed me that not only did he earn income on the efforts of many and the consumption of many, he also earned income around the clock. This was possible since his distributor organization literally spanned the globe!

This set of facts, which became clear and obvious to me caused me to realize that the network marketing industry, while often misunderstood had basic success factors in place which I had never seen or found available to me and to others before. I was blessed over the course of the next 19 months as Craig and other leaders taught me clearly and concisely what the elements are which are required for success in network marketing. I was also taught the activities that I should engage in and abilities that I would need to develop in order to accomplish something great in network marketing.

My experience at Nu Skin was a good one, but a short one. A study of the company history proved to me that an income generating opportunity exists in practically any large and successful network marketing company, but what I sought was the opportunity to create wealth. It became clear to me that this "wealth creating" opportunity is reserved in network marketing for those who join with a fledgling company and become part of the building process. Craig could pass on to me a variety of skills and attitudes. He could not spin the clock back and grant me the opportunity which he had. The chance to be early in the development of Nu Skin was over, period.

I determined that I would attempt to find a fledgling network marketing company where I could apply the skills and knowledge which I had gained. I wanted to find a small company, but I did not want the risks associated with that positioning. I wanted a young company, but I wanted a proven product line. I wanted a small company, but I wanted a proven management team. I wanted a small company, but I demanded to know that adequate capital was available. I know that all of these wants seem to contradict one another. I was lucky. I found a fledgling network marketing company, "Rexall Showcase International", which had a large successful parent. That combined message, a small company with low entry level risk ..truly I could offer to others the chance to be in early and not suffer the typical risks of a start up company. Positioning early was possible and safe because of the large successful parent, company!

This compelling message resonated with well defined leadership from elsewhere in the network marketing arena. I was able to assemble a group of proven leaders who recognized the special nature of the opportunity. Of greatest importance, we were successful in causing an entire generation of new leadership to enter the network marketing arena. Professional people, affluent people with options, as well as countless first time entrepreneurs seeking their first success embraced our simple message. And what was that message? "You can be early in the development of a network marketing company, yet not suffer the risks of that positioning".

Over the next 10 years I earned in Excess of $17,000,000 with Rexall Showcase International. I suppose you could say that I have lived network marketing at the highest level. I ask therefore that you accept what I will now place before you as something more than expressions of my opinion. What follows are statements of fact!

Synergy Worldwide represents not only a recreation of the set of circumstances which enabled the dramatic experience I described above, but a perfection of those facts.

The elements required for success in a network marketing company are as follows:

1) A Product line that matters: Network Marketing, when it is done right is not smoke and mirrors or a dollar chasing a dollar. Network Marketing is a systematic pattern of activities which have been proven over the course of the past 40 years to cause large numbers of households to transfer existing buying habits to a new brand. This demands that the product offerings made by the company are substantial. It is the consumption of the product line by the distributor force and by others exposed to the product line in the business building process which creates the underlying value of the organization. I would in fact suggest that we can take as a matter of course, a given, that the products offered by Synergy are of the highest quality and efficacy and that the product line represents value. 2) The Company and it's management: We have the best of both worlds. We have the experience of a 32 year old publicly traded company Natures Sunshine (NATR) with the stability of management which is easy to quantify and verify. And we have the extraordinary entrepreneurship of Dan Higginson and the team he has assembled both before and after the Natures Sunshine acquisition of Synergy Worldwide.

3) The Timing of the venture: In a snap of the fingers the basic tenets of my Rexall Showcase success were recreated and perfected when Synergy was acquired by Natures Sunshine. What is now presented to you is the opportunity to be involved in the development stage of a fledgling network marketing company, and yet not suffer the risks associated with that positioning. I wish that I could snap my fingers right now and compress my past 14 years of experience in the industry into your knowledge bank. This represents the most critical timing juncture of this company. The opportunity now before us is clear and easy to identify! Substantial leadership from around the network marketing industry have recognized the magic of the moment and are moving to Synergy in an amazing fashion. 4) The Compensation Plan: I use a lot of superlatives when I describe the basic components of Synergy, and I must continue with more superlatives here. The compensation plan offered by Synergy Worldwide has elements of brilliance which I have not before seen expressed in a network marketing compensation plan. The plan makes possible the following critical opportunities:

A: It is possible to generate income quickly. I have learned that network marketing leadership is not transferred based upon the knowledge that you accumulate. Leadership is transferred when you can evidence financial success in the company. The Synergy compensation plan makes a very real availability of income measured in the thousands, not hundreds from the first month. Will this be your experience? I don't know. I don't know you, your skills, your willingness to work or be coachable. Will you earn over $3000 in your first month? I don't know, but someone will earn over $3000 this month in his or her first month. Why not you?

B: It is possible to create a "transition" income quickly. Many people who join us have a desire to be and remain part time. If that is your objective, I welcome and embrace your entry to our business. I am hopeful however, that some of you recognize the dynamics of this message and the importance of the moment and decide to make big time commitments to our process. This requires that we help you replace the income you now earn in your job, business or profession. Typically this "transition" income takes a lengthy time to develop in our industry. This is because "leverage", getting paid on the efforts of others as opposed to only your own efforts is not generally accomplished in the early months of involvement. The "Mega Match" compensation plan offered by Synergy creates a legitimate and real possibility to create a leveraged income much earlier in the process than is typical to our industry.

C: Get off the treadmill. Many (if not most) of the compensation plans in our industry do not create the possibility to set a target, reach a standard and then step back, continuing to receive the income stream which has been developed. Perhaps one of the most compelling parts of my network marketing career experience is the fact that in a 3 year period during which I did not work, I earned over $9,000,000. For me, network marketing is not a marathon. For me being involved in this industry is about finding moments of special opportunity and then expending great energy in making the absolute most of the moment. We have the moment. It is now! Join me in developing this company to it's fullest, then together we can enjoy a very passive management to an impressive income stream for the rest of our lives!

D: The Dream. For me to have made the commitment to start again in this industry, I had to see an upside bigger than anything I have experienced to date. I also had to receive a sense of permanence. I have had one of the best experiences of anyone in the network marketing industry anywhere in the world. My earnings now total more than $24,000,000. My life has been forever blessed by the fact that I made a decision to enter this industry in 1990. But, with all of those positives, did I ever really want to start over? Of course not. I would far prefer to be still benefiting from the work I did in 1991-1996. The dream for me is simple. This company is the best chance I have ever seen to see every record set in network marketing challenged and perhaps broken. I believe that the largest incomes ever generated by a network marketing distributor force will be generated by those now associating with Synergy. Of greatest importance to me...this can be a permanent and final home for all of us who make the correct effort in this critical season.

The elements required for success are clear and non controversial. They are:

A product line that matters. Synergy has that!

A company that moves people from inside and outside of the industry to join. A company with proven resources and management. Synergy has that!

Timing A set of facts which are clear and easy to identify which cause one to arrive at this simple conclusion. "The company is small. It is going to get big. Opportunity therefore exists". Synergy has that!

A compensation plan which accomplishes the following: An ability to make money quickly, to create a transition income, to get off the treadmill and to set records. Synergy has that!
